Sports News

The last few weeks have been packed with sporting fun and achievement. Both the girls and boys cricket teams played exceptionally well in a recent Haringey tournament, with the boys finishing in second place out of 18 schools, having scored a phenomenal 260 runs in the semi-finals!

The girls’ morning netball club put forward a team for a recent tournament, finishing in 4th place, only narrowly missing out on a medal. The girls have made so much improvement with their netball skills and should be very proud of themselves.

Some of our girls were fortunate enough to take part in the very first London Girls Event run by the London Youth Games recently which was a hugely successful day full of activities like Zumba, Boxing, Frisbee, Lacrosse and Mini Tennis.

And for a little sporting inspiration, several of our older children were very excited to welcome Azania Stewart, captain of the GB women’s basketball team, to Highgate Primary for a talk and coaching session.

Both the Junior and Infants Sports Days were as memorable and entertaining as ever and we are now looking forward to the Reception and Nursery Sports Days at the end of next week.
