We currently have the following job opportunities available at Highgate Primary School:

Site Manager

Scale 5 (starting salary approx £19,600), 30 hours per week plus overtime (5 hours at weekends – flexible depending on lettings), 1.30 – 7.00 pm on Weekdays

Highgate Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable and skilled non-resident site manager to join our friendly staff team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning the school’s communal areas (hall and gym), carrying out minor repairs and preparing the school for events and lettings.

The postholder will also be required to be available during out of hours school events, as and when they occur.

The successful candidate will be:

  • able to work efficiently on his/her own initiative
  • well organised
  • a good team member
  • willing to take an active part in the life of the school
  • be able to carry out a range of tasks including repairs, redecoration, general upkeep of the site and maintaining site security

School Gardener

Scale 5, 10 hours per week plus overtime, flexible hours – some work in school holidays

Highgate Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable and experienced gardener to join our friendly staff team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties according to the season so that the school’s gardens and allotment look their best in term time.

Where appropriate, the post holder will be encouraged to involve pupils in gardening activities.

The successful candidate will be:

  • able to carry out a range of gardening tasks including planting, pruning, clearing, weeding and mulching
  • able to work efficiently on his/her own initiative
  • well organised
  • a good team member
  • willing to take an active part in the life of the school
