Community Music Concert 4

The power of music united us all at our recent Community Music Concert, where the diversity and talent shone throughout this magical evening. Both the junior and senior choirs sang their hearts out, conveying such passion and joy. Children performed their own arrangements of old favourites and talented parents performed with their equally gifted children. The new Reception parents and teachers choir put on an excellent show and once again the staff band delighted us all.

Many thanks to Hilla, our Music and Performing Arts Lead, who produced this uplifting concert and who inspires so many children at Highgate Primary. In the words of a happy parent:

“I just wanted to say thank you for the amazing concert last night – and to take the opportunity to say that it is truly incredible how you’ve developed Highgate Primary into a community of musicians. I just think it’s an amazing culture you’ve created. All the parents have been discussing how lucky and grateful we are that our children are benefiting from this.”

And in the words of John Denver, “Music does bring people together. It allows us to experience the same emotions. People everywhere are the same in heart and spirit. No matter what language we speak, what color we are, the form of our politics or the expression of our love and our faith, music proves: We are the same.”
